If only. It has been said that those must be be the two saddest words in the world. Lucille Ball once notably said “I would rather regret the things that I have done than the things that I have not.” Certainly, we will not regret those decisions that turned out to be a “right” decision, but unfortunately, we will make many poor decisions in our lifetimes as well. Inspirational writer, Catherine Pulsifer stated it well when she said, “Regrets only apply when we don't learn from a situation. No sense looking back, look forward with new knowledge and no regret.”
How to overcome regrets and make peace with the past will be explored at Lifetree Small Group. In the episode, “If Only...Living with Regret,” Chad Arnold, a man whose need for an organ transplant prompted his brother to volunteer to be a donor, will appear in an exclusive filmed interview. Arnold’s brother died as a result of the surgery; Arnold survived. “We all have regrets about what we’ve done or left undone,” says Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “This program, titled ‘If Only,’ offers practical steps to move past regrets and live happier, healthier lives.” Lifetree Small Group also provides opportunities to fellowship, meet new people, and talk about life together. Reflection and meaningful discussions will follow the presentation. Join the conversation in the CCC Youth Room on Tuesday, November 1st, at 7:00 p.m. It only lasts an hour, and it might change your life! Please invite a friend, too! Lifetree Small group welcomes everyone. For more details, see www.facebook.com/lifetreecafehilliard.
